 Bill Fralin,
President / Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA)*
Bill founded The Estate Planning & Elder Law Firm, P.C. in 1994. He is also an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Bill limits his practice to life care planning for seniors, elder law, Medicaid, public benefits eligibility asset protection, care review and advocacy, and estate & incapacity planning.
Bill is one of 20 attorneys practicing in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia certified in elder law (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation. He was named in 2004, 2007 & 2009 in Washingtonian magazine as one of the top elder law attorneys in the region. Also, he was named in 2007 Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top 100 attorneys in Washington, DC region and was named in Virginia Business magazine as one of the top 50 attorneys in the state of Virginia. Additionally, Bill has been listed in Washington DC Super Lawyers magazine from 2007-2010, Virginia Super Lawyers magazine 2006-2009, and Virginia Business magazine, Legal Elite 2004-2009. In 2003, Bill attained the rating of “AV” from the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating available for legal abilities and ethics.  Alicia R. Truitt,
Attorney
Alicia limits her practice to the areas of estate planning and elder law. She is named by her peers as a member of Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2007 & 2008 in Law & Politics Magazine. She received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the College of William and Mary and her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from George Mason University School of Law. She oversees the drafting and execution of our estate and incapacity planning documents. Alicia is admitted to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia and joined the firm in 2000.

 Angie Griffith,
B.S.W., Attorney
Angie received her Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W) from James Madison University with a minor in Gerontology. She is also an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) with honors from Florida Coastal School of Law and is licensed to practice in Virginia. Prior to earning her J.D., Angie worked for over eight years in independent and assisted living communities in the Northern Virginia area and spent time as a hospital discharge planner. Additionally, Angie has been a volunteer for nursing homes, hospitals, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
